Book Description

Undated, published circa 1900, this is a very scarce children’s book published as part of the Father Tuck’s Panorama Series, this one featuring our common British Birds, a folding format opening in concertina style and printed on both sides with hard card pages, fully opened it measures 52 inches by 7 inches and folds down to 8.5 inches by 7 inches approx. Very scarce, only one holding located, and that is the copy held in The American Museum of Natural History in New York. The book has general rubbing wear, some darkening, fraying to cloth at spine ends, the panel showing The Blue Tit, has a noticeable crease with splitting to the paper, though it has not cracked through to the reverse of this page which pictures The Goldfinch Else the whole thing is pictured, so content and condition can be seen
