Hardback. 111pp. No date but gift note dated 1896 to endpaper. Frontis and illustrated title page. Each song has an illustration to the heading. Illustrated with engravings by the Brothers Dalziel. Illustrated cloth binding. Gilt to all edges. Songs with music, scored for piano and voice, including See-saw Margery Daw, Hey Diddle Diddle,Jack and Jill, The Man in the Moon, The North Wind Doth Blow, Little Tommy Tucker and many other well known songs as well as many less well known ones. Some additional sheet music from the same era laid in one dated by hand at 1890. Brown cloth has decorative titles to front in gilt and black, gilt boarders and further black illustrations, gilt titles to spine with black illustrations. Bevelled edges to boards. Very clean and sound. Very attractive volume.
