Book Description
1st Edition,1st Impression, 19 x 25.2 cm brown cloth with gilt stamped vignette to the front and titles to the spine. Yellow endpapers, unpaginated (32pp) with illustrations on every page, 16 of them in colour. Signed and inscribed by author to the title page. The book comes with its original unclipped dust jacket priced at 10s 6d net. The boards have been well protected by the dust jacket and are clean and bright with only a tiny bruise to the bottom corners. Internally the book is clean and bright with only a couple of light spots to the endpapers. The author has inscribed her good wishes and signed the title page. The jacket is a little rubbed to the edges with a couple of tiny tears and one larger measuring 2cm on the bottom of the front joint and a little chipping to the corners and spine tips. All in all a very collectable signed copy of this the winner of the 1961 Greenaway Medal.
