Presentation copy, first edition, 405pp, 13 illustrations, green cloth boards, gilt titles. The contents are in very good condition with an inscription, dated and signed by Queen Victoria on the blank page before the half titles. The boards are in very good condition with general rubbing to the edges.

This presentation copy is addressed to the Hon. Amy Lambart, who was Maid of Honour to the Queen from 1877 to 1884 and comes with a letter of authentication from the Royal Archives at Windsor
