Book Description
Limited Edition No. 989 of 1100 22.8 x 28.2 cm. Soft back with green black and orange paper wraps. Uncut edges, 181[9]pp including 20 sepia photographs and 8 full page colour illustrations with captioned tissue-guards with maps and black and white illustrations within the text. With original dust jacket echoing the wraps below. The paper wraps have been protected by the dust jacket and are clean and bright with just a hint of sunning to the spine tips and tears in the upper and lower joint of the front cover and a 1cm split in the joint of the bottom of the rear cover. Internally there is an inscription on the first page but otherwise the book is generally very clean and bright with a tiny 1cm closed tear on the bottom edge of p127 and creasing to two tissue-guards and a production fault on the 1st photograph. The dust jacket is surprisingly good considering its age. There is a little chipping at the spine tips and minimal losses at the corners. There is a 2cm tear at the top of the front joint and similar ones on the bottom joints. There are also a few closed tears with associated creasing on the front panel which have been stabilised by tape on the top and bottom edges of the verso of the jacket. All in all a very nice copy of this illustrated French language book
