Dealer Notes
Lucia Elizabeth Bartolozzi Vestris (1797-1856) was the grand-daughter of the engraver Francesco Bartolozzi. She achieved considerable fame as an actress, contralto opera singer and, more notably as theatre manager and producer. However, as the title of this work suggests, she achieved some notoriety for her connections and for popular assumptions made about actresses in her day.
Author Arthur Griffinhoofe (pseud. George Colman).
Date 1836
