Book Description
1st Edition, 1st Impression. 22.1 x 28.3 cm laminated boards, brown with titles to the front and spine. Unpaginated (32) with 15 colour illustations, 3 of which are double paged. Signed and inscribed by the author/ illustrator on the title page ‘Fair fortune be yours / Kit Williams’. A first state copy without the price printed on the rear and with a publisher’s £3.50 price label stuck on the back cover. A near fine book clean and bright with just the author’s signature and inscription internally and just a tiny ding to the bottom edge of the rear board and a hint of rubbing to the price label. A really excellent signed 1st Edition copy of this book, a publishing sensation, in which the illustrations provided the clues to finding a golden hare buried somewhere in the English countryside. The hare is now to be found in the British Museum.
