KATE KRAY, 44, is the widow of paranoid schizophrenic gangland twin Ronnie. She now researches and writes books on the British gangland underworld. Her latest effort, Hard Bastards, is a profile of 24 of Britain’s toughest men and has just been published.
Ronnie Kray was gay, mad and a murderer. Why did you marry him?
Because he asked me. I didn’t accept straight away but about a year later. Ron was just Ron. He was just a nice person. I didn’t do it for money or the name.
