Gibson, this is a generally good example of John Rocque’s Map of the Post Roads of Europe, Rocque was one of the most important cartographer’s of his day, the map is mounted on cloth and dissected into twenty four sections and retains its original slipcase with the sellers label of John Wallis at his Map Warehouse No16 Ludgate Street London, the map measures 35 inches by 33 inches approx. with original hand colouring, there is some browning to the map with minor curling at some section edges, else in nice general condition, the marbled paper covered slipcase is rubbed and worn with some marking, small splits and holes along bottom edge else still in good complete condition, a good acceptable example of this sought after Rocque Map
