Book Description
Map of the Cheltenham to Oxford Railway 1852. Produced by John Fowler and lithographed by Day, London. On paper size 64 by 61 cm. Has been rolled. Scale ten miles to the inch. Covers an area from the Mersey to the Wash in the north and from Dorset to Dover in the south. The proposed lines are shown in red, with the names of the various branches and those of the lines of other companies printed beside them. Includes planned links to Coalbrookdale, Hereford and Aylesbury plus the complete line from Wolverhampton to London- all shown in red. Top edge cropped outside margins of the map and occasional edge nibbles, but overall Good condition
