Number 176 in the 'Anglistica & Americana' series of reprints selected by Bernhard Fabian, Edgar Merter, Karl Schneider and Marvin Spevack & copied from the two-volume London (second) edition of 1828 but here bound together in one volume. In volume one a b/w. frontis. engraving of Lord Byron from a painting by Holmes & a further b/w. engraving of John Keats after a sketch drawn from life by Severn & another of the Countess Guiccioli from a sketch by Santo Panario. In volume two a frontis engraving of Leigh Hunt from a drawing by J. Hayter & also a further b/w. portrait of Mr. Charles Lamb painted & engraved by Henry Meyer. Fold-out facsimile of Lord Byron's poetry from an altered copy of 'English Bards & Scotch Reviewers' (never published); with facsimile of Shelley's poetry from a M. S. of 'The Revolt of Islam' & also a facsimile of Mr. Keat's poetry from the original M. S. of 'Hyperion'.
