Japanese Fairy Tale . Princess Splendor The Wood-cutter's Daughter.

Book Description
A really quite well preserved copy of this unusual Fairy Tale first published in Japan in 1880.
This is the English translation by E Rothesay Miller.
The book is produced entirely on cloth derived 'washi paper' and illustrated in colour throughout ; the colour has remained fresh and bright.
The front cover and the first 6 or so pages show creasing to the bottom right corner but no fraying or loss because of the nature of the paper.
The front and back covers are a little grubby and there is some cracking to the paper covered spine.
The book is however complete thanks to the robust simple corded binding.
A scarce and unusual book.
