Book Description

Published by J & R Jennings, London, 1851 (date on dedication page). Purple cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and front cover. Blind stamped decoration to front and rear boards. 17.25ins x 12ins (large paper copy?), unpaginated but consisting of title page with vignette illustration, 2pp dedications, 3pp text, 28pp tissue guarded illustrations interspersed with a further 6pp text. The text is reproduced as handwritten in form. Some scattered foxing but contents generally G+ near VG. Externally the bottom corners are very rubbed and worn and the colour has faded from the outer edges of the boards and the spine - G.
