A beautifully executed and illuminated picture of The Trinity, showing a three headed image of God, and the symbols of The Four Gospels. The images are linked in the gnostic way, with "est" and "non est" between each of the parts of God. Beautifully painted in colour and gilt. Framed with a gold border, and then in a contemporary felt mount. Original burnished wood frame. Glazed. The date, and some handwritten notes (which we have been unable to decipher) to the back of the frame. Image size 130 x 90 mm. Frame is 190 x 140 mm.
