Oblong 4to, 17 x 22cm. Bound in full brown leather, gilt initials and decoration to boards, some wear head / tail of spine & corners, slight loss of gilt (see photos). Binding solid. Comprises of 4 pages (all shown) of thick cream card. First with a beautiful illuminated dedication to J.C. Bridge, Chester, July 1894, in lovely bright, unfaded condition. The following 3 pages are comprised of signatures within an illuminated border. All edges Gilt. The silk endpapers have a school library stamp and a bequest bookplate. A lovely example.
