Book Description

Single sheet, 23 x 14.5cm, printed on both sides, light pink paper, engraved vignettes of a large lilly flower & woman with a headdress of grasses. Double side handbill advertisement for bulb and plant importers Martin Clare & Co. of Finsbury, London. Martin Clare’s lillies were “Just imported. Rare & beautiful. Easily grown.” The African grasses were “ “ Tall, graceful, silky, dried grasses to decorate the home; of delicate natural tints undyed.” A very good copy (small tear to one edge).
