Book Description
Hardback. 454+384pp. Volume I contains a paper pocket to inside back cover containing an small folded 1731 map of Birmingham, a large 1810 map of the parish of Birmingham, and a conjectural plan o f Birmingham , 1553. Volume II contains a paper pocket to inside back cover containing an folded 1875 map of Birmingham. Volume I’s internal pocket also contains the handout and lectures notes from a 1989 lecture by Dr Eric Hopkins on Birmingham, given at Birmingham University (3 typed and photocopied sheets).
Blue cloth is slightly faded to spine but very clean. Maps are mostly in fine condition except for the largest 1810 version which is a little creased to corners and has more obviously been opened and re-folded but remains in very good condition. A tight square, set.
