Katherine "Kitty" Oppenheimer ( August 8, 1910 – October 27, 1972) was a German American biologist, botanist, and a member of the Communist Party of America. She is best known as the common-law wife of activist Joe Dallet, and then the wife of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the director of the Manhattan Project's Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II.
