Grimm's Fairy Tales - The Golden Books

Book Description
A rare example in its original dust jacket, in remarkable near fine condition. Green cloth covers with paste down to upper board, gilt lettering to the spine, decorative endpapers, vignette title page and eight full page colour plates. An excellent copy with minor rubbing to corners and tips of the spine, slight lifting to cloth on rear board as seen in photos. A touch of foxing to a few pages, mainly the ones next to plates - even though plates all in fine condition, otherwise the book appears unread. Previous owner's illustrated book plate to front endboard. Decorative dust jacket with light marks and rubbing, chipping, tears and small loss to corners and edges as seen in photos. 327pp. 'The Brothers Grimm collected some 200 traditional tales of Northern Europe and this edition contains more than 40 of the most famous, including ‘Snow White’, ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘Red Riding Hood’.
