Book Description
A very important document - the first attempt to look at the mineral resources and "probable industrial development" of what would become Iraq, Persia, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf as far south as modern Oman. The book was originally covered by The Official Secrets Act, and the two items of rubric on the title page stating this have stamps on saying "Cancelled". This copy was purchased by the previous owner, architect and middle east specialist, the late John Warren in Baghdad. Duodecimo, buckram with gilt lettering to spine. pp.116, 14 plates (as called for) which are, in the main, geological plans and maps of the region. 5 of these are folding. With bookplate of the John Warren.
