Margaret Mee (1909-1988) was an English botanical artist who produced many paintings of flowers from Brazil, along the River Amazon and in the Amazon rainforest. She was 47 when she started to explore the Amazon and she studied and painted the plants and flowers of this region over the following 30 years.
