8vo, hand printed on a Farley 24 Proofing Press, and bound by the Author in quarter cloth with marbled Cockerell paper sided boards, , xii, 51pp. Slipped in at the front an 8 page prospectus for the work with on the last page a list of works published by the Press between 1981 - 1988. Contains 28 coloured designs including 5 fold out plates measuring approx., 44cm x 25cm. Printed on 160 gsm Goatskin Parchment Paper, hand set in 14 pt. Caslon Old Face, Roman & Italic. The contents include a Preface, Introduction, Flowers for a Printer, The Designers, The English designers, Fashions in Decoration, The Typographical Revival, Twentieth Century Designs, Flowers in Combination,. There are examples of Arabesques and Moresques, The Fournier Broadside, Victorian Decorations, A 19th Century Floral Ornament, and The Garland Ornament. Signed by the author. Limited to 170 copies this being number 6.
