Familiar London Painted by Rose Barton, published by Adam and Charles Black, London 1904. A 1st edition. In stiff decorated red cloth boards size 16 by 9 cm. 208 pages. Top edge gilt. A rather good copy of this delightful book. There are 61 tissue-guarded colour illustrations, paintings of London scenes by Barton most of which were in the private collections of some of Edwardian England’s rich and famous. Fading to the spine, which also has a small closed nick to the head. Occasional minor foxing mainly to the fore edge but overall Good to VG condition.
