Condition: Upper board with minor losses to the illustration, elsewhere with minor wear and lightly shelf soiled. Spine cloth darkened and with light crease along middle. Block edges with some foxing, upper edge darkened (though this maybe coloured?). Other two edges lightly tanned. Front endpaper with neat contemporary gift inscription. Binding overall is sound, though occasional slight stretching between binding groups so that gutters are flattened. Internally with occasional foxing, notably to page margins, but overall is clean for age and type.
