Dundee: Its Quaint and Historic Buildings

Book Description
Published by George Petrie, Dundee, 1895, signed limited edition. This copy no 22 of 357 small paper impressions (there were also 16 copies on Japanese paper and 155 large paper copies). Half leather binding with maroon pebbled cloth boards. Five raised bands to spine. Gilt lettering to spine and to front cover. Teg. Folio, 19ins x 15ins, blue and gilt decorated endpapers, xviii, 35pp, (i), 129pp text (last text page is numbered LIX but there are many (b) and (c) pages), (i), tipped-in errata slip, 19pp index plus colour frontis, 2 maps (one double page) each with key pages, 2 double page plans and 55 illustrations as listed. A little light foxing to text pages. Very small gouge to top of front board otherwise VG. The book comes with an original maroon cloth dustwrapper with "Dundee" written to the front in the same typeface as on the book itself. This is rather rubbed and worn to the edges but it has protected the book very well. This is an extremely heavy book and postage overseas would be very expensive.
