Book Description
First edition, viii pp + [108] pp, 41 plates (many in colour), marbled boards with later leather spine, black spine label. The contents are in very good condition, with a little foxing and browning throughout (a few plates in partocular). There are two plates numbered 40, hence 41 in total. The boards are also in good condition with general signs of wear.
Dealer Notes
Francis Goodwin (1784 - 1835) was well respected architect who designed churches and civic building and, his later years, domestic architecture. This is the self-published first edition of his Domestic Architecture work. A second series of designs was published in 1834 and the whole two volume work was published as a second edition in 1843 with a third edition in 1850.
