Book Description

63 steel engraved plates depicting scenes of interest along the Rhine. The title-page and first plate (which has a vertical crease) are detached, as are several plates further in and more towards the end. The tissue-guards are nearly all absent. Most of the plates are clean and fresh. Some have a little spotting or foxing, mostly to the margins rather than the engraving itself. About six have heavy foxing – see photos. Overall, a very good copy of a scarce compilation.
