Swiss citizen Pierre Keller, then a teacher, first met Keith Haring in New York in 1981. "I saw him drawing and put my hand on his shoulder. Soon after, I bought my first Keith Haring for just $50!" They became friends, and in 1987 Haring visited Switzerland. Keller (who later worked for British American Tobacco) supervised the creation by Haring of a series of advertising posters for 'Lucky Strike'.
