Book Description
This is a very rare and attractive original poster for a Regatta held at Bala Lake in Wales on
9th August 1869
the poster shows the Regatta consisted of Eight & four Oared Boat Races, Junior and Senior Sculls, Canoes and Coracles Races
also a Bicycle Competition open to all
The poster states that Bala Lake is considered one of the finest pieces of water in the Kingdom for Racing purposes,
also advertises a Special Excursion train running from Chester to Bala and Dolgelly
printed in Chester by G. R. Griffith on blue paper with an attractive woodcut illustration,
measuring 15 inches by 10 inches approx.
there is a small piece of loss to lower edge, some mild dustiness to right hand edge, small punched holes along left hand edge else in nice condition
