The First UK printing of this illustrated edition published by the Cresset Press, London in 1930. Number : ’XV11’ of 30 special copies, printed on Batchelor's handmade paper and bound in full morocco by Wood, London. The total edition comprised only 500 copies. The book is in near Fine condition with just some very light fading to the edges and a hint of spotting to the end papers. The gilt titling remains bright. Internally clean. The publishers original slipcase is a little rubbed and marked in places. A full set of the proofs on Japon of the 10 full page wood engravings by Blair Hughes-Stanton are loosely laid into a folder at the rear as issued. All the proofs are in fine condition with just the slightest of creasing to the extreme outer edges but barely discernible. More images available on request. Very scarce.
