Dealer Notes
A rare military map, covering the Strait of Hormuz - the tip of the Persian Gulf. The map uses a 7-colour tint scale to distinguish altitude and a glossary highlight the towns of significance and other standout features. These brief guides provided steady references for army personnel to aid navigation amongst the shifting sands of the region.

Rare institutionally. Worldcat lists 4 holdings at the University of Exeter, University of Notre Dame, Eastern Illinois University and University of South Florida. It should be noted that certain institutions - like the British Library - will have holdings of these maps within a complete series.
