An Extensive Archive of Original Watercolour Designs by Elaine Williamson.

Book Description
A large archive of original watercolour designs on paper and acetate, mostly for Poole Pottery. Altogether around 300 original items, plus a large quantity of colour proofs and other reproductions, adverts and catalogue entries for her work.
Elaine Williamson was a leading designer in the English ceramic industry, starting work at Crown, Staffordshire, subsequently executing designs for the Wedgwood Group, notably Coalport, before being appointed as Design Manager at Poole Pottery in 1977. Whilst at Poole she designed and introduced many new shapes and patterns, including a range of bone china, a new departure for the company. Many of her patterns were market leaders both in Europe and the U.S.A. Working in all ceramic media, her individual style earned her a substantial reputation which was endorsed by the award of the Fellowship of the Chartered Society of Designers.
This substantial archive covers a wide range of designs, both from her work at Poole Pottery and beyond.
