All 3 volumes are first editions / first prints published by Michael Joseph. They comprise of The Vanished World (1969), The Blossoming World (1971) and The World in Ripeness (1972). It is a very good +++ set. The first volume's jacket has a faded spine. The first and second volumes have minor wear to the top of the spine of the wrapper. The books are all in very presentable condition with no previous owner's marks or ink. There are no foxing marks at all to any of the volumes and the boards are all in nice shape. Overall a very good +++ set. All 3 volumes are signed without dedication directly to the title page by the author. 
Dealer Notes
The Vanishing World covers H.E Bates life from his schooling in 1908 through to 1926. The Blossoming World  discusses his early publications and his life up to 1941 when he joined the RAF. The final volume The World in Ripeness takes him from 1941 to the then, present day. All 3 volumes are illustrated by John Ward. A rare set signed in all 3 volumes.
