Book Description
Published by Adam & Charles Black, London, 1939, 1st edition. Fawn coloured cloth boards, brown lettering to spine, under a plain brown dustwrapper with green lettering to the spine and front board and a colour illustration of Westminster pasted to the front cover. 11.25ins x 8.25ins, xi, (i), 154pp plus 24pp colour plates of paintings by the author. Also 10 line drawing illustrations within the text. Stephen Bone was part of an artistic family whose members included Muirhead Bone, James Bone, Gertrude Bone and Freda Bone. This book is rarely found with a good complete dustwrapper. Dw rubbed to top of spine else VG / VG.
