5th edition, 48,[272]p. ; 10 cm recent sympathetic re-back, original calf boards, 1Ink blot to 'G' section, see image, a very good copy of a scarce book, First published in 1745 as 'An easy spelling-dictionary' which formed volume 3 of the first edition of 'The circle of the sciences', but was afterwards discontinued as part of the series and became a separate publication entitled 'A spelling dictionary of the English language on a new plan' (Roscoe J71). The dedication signed by John Newbery, the compiler.
