Book Description

A silk view of Gibraltar. Size 42 by 42 cm. With four vignettes of British naval vessels to the corners (steam and sail), and the flags of 20 nations around the borders. These include the major European powers and the flags of Venezuela, Egypt, Norway, Sweden and Buenos-Ayres (?). The style or type of warship would suggest this was made around 1890 to 1900, though the colouring appears to have been added by hand. Good to VG condition with one small mark.
