8vo. Limited edition of 500 copies. Number 290. Original red buckram, gilt. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With six engravings on copper by J.E. Laboureur. Spine slightly faded with more fading to the ends where the d/w has small loss. Top corner tips gently pushed. D/w also faded on the spine with tiny loss to the spine ends and corner tips and some dust-soiling. Near fine in very good ++ d/w.

The text, apart from correcting a few obvious misprints, is from the edition of 1780. A companion to the Golden Cockerel edition of Tristram Shandy in 3 volumes. Smartly printed and bound, and in the scarce dust-wrapper.
