Book Description

Published in London in 1766 this is Henry Vansittart's own account of his time in The East India Company as a colonial administrator, who became the Governor of Bengal from 1759 to 1764. the books are bound in old full leather bindings, just over 9 inches tall, complete in three volumes with contents generally in fresh virtually unread condition, illustrated with a folding plate, the bindings have some general mild rubbing wear, some mild loss to leather at spine ends, white paint mark to leather on base of spine to volume one, short cracks to joints near top of spine on volume two, else bindings are in solid condition, internally foxing and browning to endpapers and title page in volume one, a few marks within else contents in very good general condition
