Published by Edward Lloyd, London, 1896, 1896, 1896, 1897, 1st editions. Green half leather bindings with marbled boards. Five raised bands to spine. Gilt lettering to spines. Bound by Seaford Bindery, Sussex. 7.5ins x 5ins, marbled endpapers. Volume one: xii, 340pp plus 31 colour plates. Volume two: xii, 308pp plus 27pp plates. Volume three: xiii, (i), 338pp plus 35pp plates. Volume four: xviii, 314pp plus 35pp plates. Thus in total there are 128 plates, nb all plates are present but their placement often does not accord with the pagination listed. Occasional foxing to text pages - sometimes quite heavy. Nb plates not affected. Spines of each volume have been sunned to a lighter green than that on the boards, but they are uniform. Because of the foxing G+.
