Book Description
The First UK Printing published by Hamish Hamilton in 1981. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light toning to the text-block with a little dustiness to the upper text-block. Light pushing at the upper spine end. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is neatly price-clipped. Light fading to the spine colouring but far less than usually encountered with the red lettering remaining bright. The wrapper looks striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been Signed ( without dedication) by the author to the title page. The ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. The author's first novel, published while he was still lecturing in English at Oxford. Very scarce with such attributes.
