A collection of catalogues mostly produced by the Marlborough Fine Arts Gallery in London and one by Spink & Co With Thomas Gibson Fine arts . London. A total of nine various exhibition catalogues covering the years 1968, 1970,1972,1973,1974,1976,1979,1980 and 1989. Includes the memorial exhibition catalogue of 1974 . The 1972 catalogue has tipped-in colour plates and a few B/W plates. The 1968 catalogue has a colour plate tipped-on affixed to the front cover as called for. All items have both colour & B/W illustrations. Size is either 8.25" x 11.5" approx or 9" x 8.25". The Spink catalogue is a fold-out 3 page single sheet item approx 10" x 7.5". Page count varies between 12 pages and 72 pages. The spines of the older items are a little worn, please see photos, but not excessively so. All text in English except for the 1979 edition which is for an exhibition in Italy.
Edward Brian Seago RBA ARWS RWS (1910-1974) was a British artist who painted in both watercolours and oils. A post impressionist artist famous for his landscapes and street scenes. During the second world war he was employed developing camouflage techniques for Field Marshall Auchinleck. He relinquished his commission on account of ill health and was granted the honorary rank of Major in 1944.
