Book Description

Eugene Labaume (1783 - 1849), a military man holding the post, amongst others, of officier d'ordonnance to Prince Eugene de Beauharnais who was vice-roi d'Italie. Labaume became Chevalier de Legion d'Honneur 1812 and Officier in 1833. He took an active role in campaigns of 1805, 1809, 1812, 1813, 1814. He was one of the first to record his experiences in the Campaign against Russia.

Two battle plans per title and directions to printer p 408. Both plans browned, fold and unfold easily, small side tear to side of frontispiece plan. Two small tears close to inner pages at v and p 225. Top edges marbled , fore- and bottom- rough cut. General spotting and browning, some foxing. Text block and hinges firm. French translator not credited.
