1874 HISTORY of ROYSTON Hertfordshire

Book Description
NOTES ON THE HISTORY OF ROYSTON by Thomas Milbourn (1874) title page undated, but carries the date of the original paper 1874 ,this is a very scarce work that was originally printed in the proceedings of the London & Middlesex Archaeological Society, here separately bound with its own printed title page, the work itself looks like it has been taken from the original proceedings, starting mid-sentence on page 193 and finishing on page 278, plus a folding hand coloured plan of the Royston Court House, 86 pages in total there is a recorded publication by the same author with the extended title of “Notes on the History of Royston, in the counties of Hertford and Cambridge”, published circa 1880 with the same amount of pages, but this seems to be an earlier version of that title. This copy has been bound up in an old half leather binding, 8.5 inches tall, the binding has some rubbing wear at corners and edges, some loss to leather at top of spine, else binding is in good solid condition, internally old ownership name to front endpaper, contents generally nice and clean A GENERALLY GOOD EXAMPLE OF THIS VERY SCARCE WORK
