Book Description

Published in London in 1869 this is the First Edition of this classic early book on the bicycle, its history and future development, a small slim volume, just under 7 inches tall, 105 pages with 25 illustrations, mostly two illustrations per plate, the binding has been professionally recased with the original spine cloth laid down, this has been very well done and is barely noticeable, some lightened areas to the cloth, internally there are noticeable browned spots, handling marks and foxing to a number of pages, noticeable moisture staining to a few of the plates, the worst of which are pictured, some marking to page edges, wear to the last couple of page edges else in acceptable condition
