Charles-Marie Widor (1844 - 1937)

Vieilles Chansons et Rondes Pour Les Petits Enfants

Published: Librairie Plon, Paris

Date: 1927

Charles-Marie Widor was an accomplished organist, composer and teacher. This book is charmingly illustrated with colour lithography on each page from pictorial designs by de Monvel, a popular illustrator and watercolourist. Pictorial light blue cloth boards, decorated with a pattern of small marguerite flowers, lettered in black to cover and with a silhouette of stemmed flowers in gilt. Note: in the image of the cover, the book appears to have two large marks on the front - these are actually part of gilt flower decorations.
