Two albums of ephemera printed programmes for plays and performances by amateur theatre companies in the London area in the late Victorian era mainly 1890's. Many of the programmes are for performances by the Beverley Dramatic Company but other small theatre clubs are represented. The venues range from Conservative Clubs and Working Men's Institutes and charitable institutions. All programmes are pasted in, some at the gutters. An excellent overview of the kind of material that amateur societies were offering to a variety of audiences across the classes. A number of contemporary newspaper reviews are also pasted in. 2 volumes, quarto, with wear to covers, the programmes in good order.
