The complete proceedings of Nuremberg War trial in 23 volumes, together with four additional volumes covering the prosecutor’s speeches and the Judgement. The United States of America, The French Republic, The United Kingdom, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics entered indictments against 24 major war criminals and six organisations: the leadership of the Nazi Party, the SS the SD , the Gestapo, the SA and the General Staff and High Command of the Wehrmacht. The indictments were for: Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of a crime against Peace; Planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression and other crimes against Peace; War crimes; Crimes against humanity. The defendants were: Göring, Hess, von Ribbentrop, Ley, Keitel, Kaltenbrunner, Rosenberg, Frank, Frick, Streicher, Funk, Schacht, Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, Dönitz, Raeder, von Schirach, Sauckel, Jodl, Bormann, von Papen, Seyss-Inquart, Speer, von Neurath, and Fritzsche. Twelve of the defendants received the death sentence, three were given life imprisonment, four were given prison sentences, and three were acquitted. Robert Ley and Hermann Göring commited suicide and Bormann was already dead. Overall the set is in very good or good condition, the spines are darkened, general age wear, one or two with defective spines and tape reinforcement. Cover of the Judgement foxed and one of the proceedings has a library stamp. Scarce as a complete set, together with the Speeches and Judgement.
