Pride and Prejudice (2 Vols,vii,191(1)pp and 210pp) Mansfield Park (2 Vols vii,(ii)245(1)and 249 (3)pp) Emma 1898 (2 Vols,vi,245 (1) and 258(2)pp) Northanger Abbey (1 Vol iv,245(1)), Persuasion (1 vol iv,261(1) pp) . All volumes 8vo., 11.5 x 17.7cm pale green cloth with blue stamped decoration and gilt titles to the front and spine and blue stamped publisher's device to the rear. Top edge gilt with other edges uncut, decorative endpapers with gilt decoration, a JA monogram in blue and ribbon marker. All volumes have 6 colour plates with tissue guards including frontispiece which are by H M and C E Brock with the exception of the frontispiece to Sense and Sensibility which is a portrait of Austen by Johann Zoffany. The books are contained within their original publisher's box in the same colour cloth as the binding with gilt borders and crest to the front and titles to the top of the lid. A stunning, clean, fresh set that has been well protected by its original box.
