Raymond Collins (Birmingham 1927- London 2014), trained at Birmingham School of Art, Royal College of Art. A collection of etchings from the 1940s and 50s all in fine condition, on Whatman paper, some with remains of gumstrip in the margins. Various other prints available. While still a student at the RCA, 22 year old Collins was married to a Birmingham girl, June Eades, and within a year is recorded as living with his wife and newborn daughter in a basement flat in Fulham. He worked as a commercial artist and there is no record of him ever exhibiting or selling a painting.

Further to their purchase of the artist's archive, a selling exhibition took place in 2017 at Sim Fine Art, from which we have identified some of our etchings and borrowed the titles. We thank Andrew Sim for his assistance, and as none of our etchings are signed or captioned, we have invented titles for those not catalogued by Andrew. Sim Fine Art. This Happy Breed 2017.
