Full title includes the following "containing a topographical, antiquarian, and geological account of the country, and of the towns and villages in the neighbourhood of the railways; with a preliminary description of the construction of the Great Western and other railways, illustrated with numerous and accurate engravings on wood; and guides to Windsor, Reading, Oxford, Gloucester, Hereford, Cheltenham; Bath, Wells and Bristol." With a large folding map of the Great Western line from Bristol to London plus other folding maps of the main railway network, the Western Union line and the Bristol to Exeter railway. Gold-stamped title and image of a locomotive to the front board (faded), and signature of an early owner in ink to front endpaper. VG condition.
